tl;dr: Children Of Wolves is an in-progress novel, set in an alternate medieval England, inspired by stories of knights, the Yorkshire landscape, local folklore, English folk horror and legend, and black metal, amongst other things.
This site contains character and location biographies, short stories relating to the world of the main book, and behind the scenes info.
The longer version: Children Of Wolves was a name I came up with for a series of black-metal/folk horror influenced paintings I was trying to create some years ago, but I failed to figure out anything I was happy with.
I took the name and adapted it to fit some 80’s anime/manga influenced paintings I was doing, and that had it’s own cyberpunk-esque storyline, and still lives on here (artwork) and here (clothing) re-titled as children_of_wolves//::1988. At some point I also look to expand that storyline into short stories too.
I figured out (I hope) how best to utilise the original idea I had for the name “Children Of Wolves” and that will now be a series of short stories that help build a world that will be the basis for a much longer book. While I gradually work on the book itself I hope to realise 1 new short story every month or so. Some stories will be much shorter than others, and will mostly be standalone but may tie into each other as well as the overall world of the main story.
The world in which the stories are set should start to slowly make more sense as more about the world is revealed, but the basics are it’s a medieval England where a few events caused history to take a diversion from what we know.
I also hope to one day write a better “About” page, as I’m useless at these things.
